Syllabus Section

Samskrit Sambhashana - Intermediate
A clear step forward—from knowing forms to actually understanding Samskrit

Stage 1: Śabdarūpa Foundation (शब्दरूप-प्रकरणम्)

Learn how words really behave in Sanskrit.

• Masculine, Feminine & Neuter nouns (Ajanta – अजन्त शब्दाः)
• Halanta nouns (हलन्त शब्दाः – all three genders)
• Recognizing patterns (रूप-पद्धतिः) instead of memorizing blindly
• Guided practice (अभ्यासः) for clarity

By the end: You stop guessing forms and start recognizing them instantly

Assessment (परीक्षा)

Stage 2: Vibhakti & Sentence Structure (विभक्ति-प्रयोगः)

Now Sanskrit starts making sense.

• Masculine, Feminine & Neuter nouns (Ajanta – अजन्त शब्दाः)
• Halanta nouns (हलन्त शब्दाः – all three genders)
• Recognizing patterns (रूप-पद्धतिः) instead of memorizing blindly
• Guided practice (अभ्यासः) for clarity

By the end: You can understand and form basic Sanskrit sentences

Assessment (परीक्षा)

Stage 3: Prayoga & Expression (प्रयोगः एवं वाक्य-विस्तारः)

Move beyond rules into actual language.

• Pronouns (सर्वनाम) & indeclinables (अव्यय)
• Sentence building (वाक्य-निर्माणम्) — simple to slightly complex
• Understanding passages (गद्य-अवगाहनम्)
• Translation (अनुवादः) & speaking (संभाषणम्) practice

By the end: You can read, understand, and express simple Sanskrit confidently

Final Assessment (अन्तिम परीक्षा)
