Sanskrit for Kids Course Structure (6-9 Years)

Duration: 2 month (8 Weeks)
Kids’ Age Group: 6-9 Years
Class Timings: 8 PM to 9 PM IST
Begins on: 21 November, 2026
Schedule: Two classes every week [Saturday, Sunday]  = 16 Classes
 

Module

• Varṇamālā: Sanskrit Alphabet – Vowels, consonants and uccāraṇa-sthānāni, where each sound comes from, for correct pronunciation.
• Sambhāṣaṇam: Spoken Sanskrit – Greetings, self-introduction, asking names and classroom phrases for everyday conversation.
• Words in Three Genders – Common puṃliṅga, strīliṅga and napuṃsakaliṅga words with Hindi and English meanings and pictures.
• Kriyāpadāni: Action Words – Everyday verbs in the present tense, learned through actions and pictures.
• Śabdakośaḥ: Everyday Words – Body parts, family members, colours, fruits, vegetables, animals and birds in Sanskrit.
• Saṅkhyāḥ: Numbers 1-20 – Counting from एकम् to विंशतिः, with Devanagari numerals and asking "how many?"
• Samaya-Kathanam: Telling Time – Reading the clock in Sanskrit, with वादनम् and सार्ध.
• Kālagaṇanā: Sanskrit Calendar – Days, months, tithis and pakṣas, the Sanskrit way of counting time.
• Vākya-Racanā: Making Sentences – Putting nouns and verbs together into simple sentences and asking questions.
• Subhāṣitāni, Gītāni & Kathā – Sayings, songs and simple stories built from what children learn, used in daily life.
